Ring Leaders Spotlight

Name: Chris

Title:   Warehouse Coordinator

Describe what a typical work day looks like for you.

I start at 5:45 in the morning. I make sure all of the loads for the day get sent to the right customer with the correct paperwork and product and on time.

How long have you been at Ring?

10 years

What is the best memory you have working at Ring?

We recently lost one of our employees to cancer. Susan was one of four employees who had been here since the beginning. The four of us previously worked together before our former company was acquired by Ring. Susan did all of the decorating at the Christmas parties, and I think the best memory was having her at the party last year. She will be missed.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I love to spend my free time with my family. I also have a racing background, so when I’m not with my family, I’m at races with my brother. It’s a good way to spend time together.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Treat people the way you want to be treated. When you treat someone good, they treat you the same.

What was your first job? What have you learned since then?

My first job was working in a meat market. I would get out of school around lunch and go to work in this butcher shop. That job helped me learn how to respect others, and work well with people. There are some people you can’t always make happy. We have two boys, and I take pride in the fact that I’ve never missed a day of work or have been late. As a parent, your children learn from your example, and that’s something I’m proud for them to see.

Next up on your bucket list?

My wife and I have our 25th wedding anniversary coming up in two years. Around that time, my son should be graduating from West Virginia, and we’d like to go to an island somewhere. I’d also love to take my wife to Charleston, South Carolina.

Who is someone that you really admire?

The person I admire most in my life is my wife. Even on her worst day, she’ll always give a smile. She can always put a smile on my face.
