Name: Holly
Title: Plant Manager
Describe what a typical work day looks like for you.
A typical day for me involves meeting with our teams and ensuring that the operations run smoothly. As a plant manager, I interact with all team members in every aspect of our business. We work together to plan for and implement day-to-day initiatives and address any potential issues.
How long have you been at Ring?
I started working at Ring September 1, 2017.
What is the best memory you have working at Ring?
The best memory I have with Ring is being involved in the opening of the Hagerstown plant. This was a wonderful opportunity to start a facility from the beginning. It involved putting our team together, starting and setting up the manufacturing processes and developing relationships with customers.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We have two daughters and a son. All of our children are involved with sports, and we really enjoy watching them play. I also enjoy working on our small farm and riding horses.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Work hard, be diligent and treat people the best you possibly can. Have a strong vision and work with everyone to ensure success for all.
What was your first job? What have you learned since then?
My first job was working at Hardee’s when I was 15 years old. The principles I learned about customer service at Hardee’s have been important in every position that I have had since. The customer comes first! I have also learned how to work toward preventing customer issues rather than reacting to things after they happen, and I have learned the importance of building strong relationships.
Next up on your bucket list?
My family and I would like to travel to Greece at some point after our two oldest daughters graduate from college.
Who is someone that you really admire?
I admire many people, including great coaches and company leaders. I admire those who are able to motivate teams and organizations to achieve greatness. Some of these include the late Ron Lindon and Bill Hall (local high school coaches), Joe Gibbs, Nick Saban, Pat Summit, Warren Buffet and Ellen Kullman.
Holly has been a great addition to the Ring Container Technologies family! Since joining our company, Holly has continually demonstrated the characteristics we expect from the leadership at our manufacturing locations. She is customer-focused and results-driven, demands operational excellence, and she is also a servant leader. We are excited about her future growth as well as that of the Hagerstown, MD facility, which she manages. – Vice President, Plant Operations
