Ring Receives 2022 Better Project Award from the U.S. Department of Energy

Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Initiative

As part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Initiative, the Better Plants program aims to help leading manufacturers meet their sustainability goals and boost efficiency, increase resilience, and reduce their carbon footprint. Specifically, the Better Project award recognizes partners for outstanding accomplishments in implementing industrial energy, water, and waste projects at individual facilities.

Through Better Plants, Ring Container Technologies voluntarily set a specific goal to reduce energy intensity by 20% in a 10-year period across all our U.S. operations. Because of the progress made toward this goal, we have been recognized for our outstanding work in implementing industrial energy, water, and waste projects at individual facilities.

“2021 presented unforeseen challenges in many facets of the industry. However, it also gave Ring the opportunity to leverage what customers love most about us – reliability,” said Ring president and COO Brian Smith. “We are honored to support for our customers to achieve their goals in a rapidly changing landscape of environmental concerns.”

Ring Container Technologies is proud to be a member of the Better Plants Program, as it allows us to partner with the Department of Energy to keep sustainability top of mind. Learn more about the Better Plants program and how we plan to implement reduction goals here.
