We’re excited to share the release of our fourth annual sustainability report, Pursuit of Excellence 2024, which highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental, social, and governance excellence.
Sustainability at the core of our operations
We have taken bold steps to further our sustainability journey. A significant milestone for 2024 is our commitment to setting a science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target. This is in line with our broader sustainability strategy and reflects our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint. Over the past few years, we have worked diligently to monitor and identify opportunities for reducing emissions across all three scopes (1, 2, and 3). In 2025, we will formally submit our commitment letter to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Ring’s sustainability efforts go beyond emissions reduction. In Pursuit of Excellence 2024, we also share our continued work on waste reduction. By focusing on prevention, recycling, and reuse, we are reducing the waste generated and actively contributing to a circular economy.
Key sustainability achievements in 2024
Our efforts in sustainability are supported by significant achievements across three key pillars: innovation, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Here are some of the notable highlights from our report.
Innovation: We introduced a revolutionary stackable solution for polyethylene terephthalate (PET), marking a first-of-its-kind product in the industry.
Environmental stewardship: We reduced PET material usage by over 12.8 million pounds through our TRIMLITE® technology, significantly decreasing material waste.
Recognition: For the second consecutive year, Ring earned an EcoVadis Platinum Medal, with a notable nine-point increase in our overall score from the previous year.
Commitment to sustainability: We are committed to setting a science-based GHG emissions reduction target to further drive progress on environmental sustainability.
People and communities: A core focus
Beyond environmental impact, sustainability is about the well-being of our employees and the communities where we operate. In 2024, we made significant strides in strengthening our commitment to our people:
- We expanded our occupational health and safety management system to ensure that our workforce remains safe and well-supported.
- We introduced career paths and progression plans for employees, helping them to grow within the company and ensuring long-term success for our team members.
- Ring also continued its dedication to community engagement by volunteering our time, talent, and resources to support local initiatives that make a meaningful difference.
