Ring Container Technologies is proud to renew its commitment to Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) for another year, reinforcing its dedication to the responsible handling of plastic resin materials across U.S. operations.
Operation Clean Sweep is a voluntary stewardship program led by the Plastics Industry Association that provides clear guidelines and accountability measures to help facilities prevent the release of plastic resin into the environment. While these materials are essential to manufacturing, they must remain within the production cycle to protect waterways, wildlife, and surrounding communities.
For Ring, participation in OCS reflects a long-standing philosophy: Responsible manufacturing requires disciplined systems, engaged employees, and measurable standards.
A commitment that extends across every facility
OCS participation is managed at the facility level and includes structured reporting and adherence to best practices for material handling, storage, and containment. By renewing our membership, Ring reaffirms that promoting resin recycling is embedded into our daily operations.
Across our locations, we continue to:
- Maintain strict material handling and containment procedures.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and housekeeping audits.
- Invest in infrastructure that captures and redirects material back into the production process.
- Train employees to recognize and address potential risks immediately.
These efforts are supported by quarterly reporting requirements under OCS Core Metrics, which help certify transparency and accountability across the industry.
Culture drives results
Material containment is not solely about equipment — it’s also about people. From onboarding to ongoing training, our teams understand that stewardship is part of operational excellence. Line operators, maintenance teams, and leadership all play a role in ensuring that resin stays in production.
By integrating OCS principles into our broader operational standards, we strengthen both environmental performance and production efficiency. Cleaner facilities are safer facilities, disciplined processes are stronger processes, and proactivity is always more effective than reactivity.
Leading with consistency
While participation in Operation Clean Sweep is voluntary, we believe leadership in manufacturing means holding ourselves to higher standards. Renewing our commitment signals consistency to our employees, customers, and communities where we operate.
Environmental responsibility is closely tied to trust. Customers expect their packaging partners to operate with integrity, communities call for manufacturers to protect shared resources, and employees want to work for organizations that take those responsibilities seriously. Delivering on those expectations is what defines responsible leadership.
As we move through another year of membership, we remain focused on disciplined execution, transparent reporting, and continuous improvement. Operation Clean Sweep is one of many ways Ring Container Technologies demonstrates that innovation and responsibility go hand in hand.
